Swakopmund

Swakopmund (locally known as Swakop) is a town on the Namibian coastline. The town started as a German port and today is a base for uranium mining and a major tourist town. Tourism features include visiting the desert environment around the town and taking in the German/Namibian feel of the town. Swakopmund has also become the hub of adventure activities such as Skydiving, Sand boarding and Quad Biking. For info go to www.swakop.com
